Can Watching Too Much Porn Cause ED?

what to do if you have porn-induced erectile dysfunction

A recent study found that many young Italian men who watched porn excessively in their teens have developed a condition known as “sexual anorexia” and are often unable to get an erection.

Porn can influence your sexual desires.

If you watch porn excessively, you may not be able to get sexually aroused with your partner because most people’s sexual encounters don’t imitate what happens in pornographic films.

When this happens, it’s referred to as PIED, or Porn-induced Erectile Dysfunction.

What can you do if you have PIED?

  • Stop watching porn for at least 90 days and see if you notice a difference.
  • Work with your partner to figure out what turns you on.
  • Develop your other sexual senses (other than visual).
  • If you do masturbate, use your other senses and do not visualize pornographic images.

If you’re concerned about ED, find more answers by talking to an experienced urologist.
